This is the case of a piece that was found without searching it.
We have just moved to our “new” house. It was almost empty: some old beds, shells and… an old cabinet! I was amazed that it was still standing. Full with dust, spider webs, woodworms… It was screaming: “Restore me!!!”
I started to clean it and see what I have here. After applying the treatment against the woodworms and have waited the required time, I started to sand it and fix the small pieces. It was a miracle when I realized that the old roller door was in almost perfect conditions! I even didn’t want to cover it with paint. Its natural wood colour was beautiful, so I decided to keep some details like this to create some contrast.
The cabinet used to have four drawers but I had only two. I bought a basket to replace the drawers instead of making them.
The colours in my living room are mostly white, blue and natural wood so I made a bet on a turquoise blue. The result was amazing. It has definitely become a part of my new living room and given it a fresh look.
